Title: Lock 'n Load: Heroes of Stalingrad
Post by: Tom Proudfoot on April 23, 2009, 04:16:55 pm
A computer version of the popular Lock 'n Load wargame from Mark Walker.

Current status: the basic game is running, there are lots of scenarios to be made with their own fiddly little rules.  The current target finish is mid-2009 (yes, that is soon).

Mark Walker's website: http://www.locknloadgame.com/
Matrix Games: http://www.matrixgames.com/

I am really bad about checking/posting to those forums, btw.

Doing multiplayer testing basically constantly, shaking out bugs.  Good fun.   ;D

This is coming out in January February.  Hmm, I should specify the year: 2014.

edit: apparently they have to manufacture CDs, hee.  Well I'm done in January.

Wow. I may be able to buy this one on release (depending on some financial things happening in the next few days). I like that it is said to have easy to learn rules as that is my biggest obstacle in playing wargames.

Yeah, I think it's fairly simple, though I've obviously been messing with it for a long time.  Most rolls are 1 or 2 dice and add/subtract some modifiers and compare to some other roll or specific number.   It's a board game, basically.

I finally got this one. I kept forgetting to buy it month after month. Have downloaded and installed but have not yet played (finishing a game of Natuk and also one of P.O.W.S. first).

LOL! Unfortunately the game does not run on my Windows XP desktop. Will try it on my laptop once I get the will to.
