Nahlakh ultimately rose to around 50th position on the Internet Top 100 List (this was before there was a separate list for shareware), and I still get lots of mail about the game. It was reviewed in Pelit, a Finnish game magazine, and I subsequently got a lot of registrations from Finland. :)
Many aspects of Natuk were first seen in Nahlakh and subsequently refined as I became a better programmer. Nahlakh still has a certain charm to it, though.
If you would like to try Nahlakh, you can download it here: nahlakh130.exe
Faster computers experience problems running Nahlakh. If the game crashes with an 'error 200', please try running Nahlakh while Moslo is active. You can download Moslo at http://www.hpaa.com/moslo.
Another thing to try is running without the Soundblaster sound. Run setup.bat and say you don't have a sound card.
I no longer am able to compile the source code to Nahlakh (due to some unfortunate accidents), but I can still refer to it for questions and stuff.
Because I cannot compile Nahlakh any more, my email address, the address
for registrations and the price shown when you exit the game are incorrect.
Please refer to the Ordering
page for Natuk for the correct address, the correct price for California
residents, and an online order form.
